Lead The way as The Future Emerges

Pivot from the old mindset and outdated mental models to more creative and imaginative ones to help you create new business models, how you do things, market and sell your products or services, to thrive in a long way.

Upcoming September 2020

A crisis presenting unique challenges continues to unfold across the globe.

With the economy placed in a coma by social distancing measures, we need to build a path to thrive.

How is the outbreak changing the priorities for business leaders?

The biggest challenge is to distinguish between these crisis-induced short-term changes and more permanent shifts.

What shifts are required to help us avert disaster and reconnect with the impact we’re having on people and the planet?

The unprecedented disruption we are facing today is forcing us to shift toward a new way of operating our economies, organizations, and households.

Are we able to deal with this Toughest Challenge?

“The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence, it is to act with yesterday’s logic”.

- peter drucker

The world has changed significantly almost overnight. Change is everywhere and constant. It is an ongoing process.

“The only thing that is constant is change.” -Heraclitus

Has everything been changed?

Some things seem still deeply frozen and unchanged.

And their result is the world in which we all wake up and live every day.

Is this the world that we envision for us and the legacy we want to leave to our children?

Why do we create results that nobody likes or wants?

What keeps us locked into old ways of being and doing?

Our mental models and the actions that they produce in the world are the same despite all changes.

Why is that?

Changes are happening exponentially and faster than our way of thinking can update and upgrade.

What can we do to transform these patterns that keep us in the past, giving that these changes have become unpredictable and uncertain, creating chaos?

The possibility of profound renewal has never been more real. Now is our time.

So let me ask you…

How do we choose to respond to the current waves of disruptive change?

The same old way, by reacting against the thinking patterns of the past, which usually results in perpetuating them?

It sounds like the definition of insanity.

Or from a deeper place that connects you with to the emerging future, helping you to embrace ambiguity, uncertainty, and change?

The new challenge requires leaders to respond to a new reality, a new economic environment, a new customer, new behaviors and needs, to lead the way out of adversity.

Can be old mental models successful into something that is completely new and that doesn’t yet exist?

Will need companies to pivot from the old mindset and outdated mental models to a more creative and imaginative one to help them create new business models and to thrive in a long way?

How rapid will be the change in the post-pandemic era?

What will be the real need for leadership in terms of abilities to be able to seize opportunities?

IMAGINE THIS

Being able to ACKNOWLEDGE the business issues as they arise, being the result of the crisis, or anything that will emerge in the future.

Knowing how to RESOLVE the current waves of business issues by stepping back through attending, observing, and reflecting on breaking biases, paradigms, and shift mindsets to create space for the new insights and ideas to emerge.

Developing mental toughness to deal adequately with adversities as they arise while the majority of people get stuck as they identify them with pain.

Being able to create possibilities and successfully walk through thresholds that develop your curiosity and creativity, connectedness, and compassion, as well as your confidence and courage to survive crises and thrive passionately purposeful “new normal.”

Knowing how to quickly RETURN to some semblance of normalcy.

Reimagine an innovative future where changes in the areas of our relationship with nature, work, capital, technology, leadership, consumption, collaboration, and ownership can reduce the pressure and foster new systems.

Being able to respond from the emerging future by suspending our judgments, controlling and redirecting our attention, letting go of the outdated past while leaning into the future that wants to emerge through us, allowing the new reality to come.

Being able to spot the problem as it raises, connect the dots and identify trends even before they become obvious to the rest.

Being able to see the world with fresh eyes and become an anti-conventional, creative thinker, decision-maker and problem solver.

Bouncing forward and having access to new insights, new possibilities, and new solutions.

Knowing how you operate and learning new ways for evolving into new mindsets, mental models and behaviors that will set you on the path to performance and achievements.

What is sure, is that novel challenges may arise as the “new normal” will surface.

Why Creativity?

  • Creativity is a response.
  • Each creative process starts with a problem.
  • Creativity translated into innovation is a response.

Why innovation?

Innovation is knowing how to see, respond, and solve problems in creative ways that people value.

Innovation can be:

  • Doing something better, faster, cheaper, or deeper.
  • Selling the same product with a better message, more relevant.
  • Finding new and interesting ways to reintroduce a product or service and possibly addressing different benefit outcomes.
  • Finding a better business model, supply chains, or any other smart way of doing things, that will be needed as the future emerge.

Innovation is about how you solve problems, make decisions, use time, how you interact, your strategies, behaviors and actions.
